Stoma care

The Medicina stoma product range consists of silos for gastroschisis patients and Ace Stoppers for patients with anti-grade enema tracts. Catheters, washout buttons and washout sets are also available.

Silo

These are preformed silicone silos indicated for the staged closure of gastroschisis defects in infants. There are several sizes and dressings available. The link below has more information and a DVD to show how they are used.

Ace Stoppers

Ace stoppers are small silicone plugs which are used to maintain the patency and seal of antigrade continence enema (ACE) tracts. They are also widely used in urinary tracts such formed Mitrophanoff and Monti procedures. Dressings are available and all of these products are available on prescription in the UK.

Catheters button and sets

Catheters are available for use in the bowel from 12-14FR and buttons can be custom-made at any length from 12-20FR.Washout sets are available on prescription to fit catheters and buttons
